About us
theMKLAB is a creative art agency providing personalization and customization for your favorite luxury fashion accessories. Our Creative Director, Morlaye Kamara, and his team of highly skilled artists strive to create one of a kind, hand-painted wearable art.
Through the process of conceptualizing ideas, preparing the canvas (bag, jacket, shoes) and, finally, creating the art - our artists spend a minimum of 40 hours to complete each piece by hand in our New York City lab. Blending art and scientific precision, theMKLAB produces quality work, executed with pride. We utilize a proprietary approach to treat and prepare the leather in order for the paint to withstand harsh environmental factors such as the sun, humidity, scratching, as well as everyday wear and tear. We always strive for excellence and individuality in our work.
